Seen a photo whose colours you love, or have a look in your head you can’t name? Instead of scrolling hundreds of recipes, drop in the image or describe the vibe. The finder reads the subject, lighting, mood and colour, then surfaces the Fujifilm film simulation recipes that get closest, ranked best-first.

How the Fujifilm Recipe Finder works.
Every recipe in the library comes with sample photos. The finder compares your photo or description against those samples, taking in subject, setting, lighting, mood and dominant colour, and surfaces the recipes whose look comes closest.
Results are ordered best-first, and each card carries a one-line note on why that recipe fits what you asked for, so you can scan the shortlist quickly instead of opening every result.
Scores are colour-coded: green for a strong match (70%+), orange for a medium match worth trying (45–70%), and grey for a looser fit. Treat the top result as a starting point and tweak from there.
Common questions.
Every recipe in the library comes with sample photos. The finder compares your photo or your description against all of them and surfaces the recipes whose samples look closest to what you want, ranked best-first, with a one-line note on why each one fits.
Use a photo when you already have a reference shot, the finder reads the subject, lighting, mood and colour directly from the image. Use a description when you're chasing a look you don't have a photo of yet, e.g. 'moody black & white street portrait' or 'golden-hour beach, pastel tones'. Both find recipes the same way.
Each recipe gets a fit score from 0–100%. 70%+ is a strong match, 45–70% is a medium match worth trying, and below 45% is a loose match. The score reflects how closely the recipe's sample images match your photo or description, not a guarantee, light and subject still vary shot to shot.
Premium recipes show the preview, film simulation and sample images, but their exact settings are hidden behind a lock. Open the recipe and subscribe to reveal the full parameter list. Free recipes show everything immediately.
JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF up to 5 MB. If your photo is larger, downscale it first, the finder only needs a reasonably sized image to read the look, not full resolution.
The finder ranks by visual fit, not by your specific body. Once you've found a look you like, open the recipe to see which sensors and cameras it targets, and use the Recipe Converter to translate it across X-Trans generations if needed.
