Privacy Policy

Fuji Pic is built around recipes, not user data. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how to remove anything you have shared with us.

Who we are

Fuji Pic is a resource for Fujifilm photographers, a curated library of film simulation recipes, sensor and camera references, and short-form articles. The site is available at fujipic.com.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to keep things minimal, if a feature does not need your data to work, we do not ask for it.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical data needed to serve the site:

  • Newsletter email. When you subscribe from the footer form, we store the email address you submit so we can send new recipes and guides.
  • Recipe submissions. If you submit a recipe, we receive the settings, optional sample images, and any contact details or credit you choose to include.
  • Contact messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your message and the email address you send it from.
  • Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested. These logs are used to keep the site reliable and secure.

We do not ask for accounts, passwords, payment details, or any sensitive personal information. Fuji Pic does not target or knowingly collect data from children under 13.

How we use your information

We use the information above only for the purpose it was provided:

  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to and let you unsubscribe at any time.
  • To review, publish, and credit recipes that you submit to us.
  • To reply to your messages and improve the help we offer.
  • To monitor performance, prevent abuse, and keep the site online.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to build profiles about you.

Cookies and analytics

Fuji Pic uses only the strictly necessary storage required to load the site (for example, remembering your scroll position or theme on the device you are using). We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

If we ever introduce privacy-respecting analytics to understand which recipes are most useful, this page will be updated before that change takes effect, and any data collected will be aggregated and never tied to your identity.

Services we rely on

To run the site we use a small number of well-known infrastructure providers. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:

  • A hosting and content delivery provider that serves pages and images.
  • An email delivery provider that sends the newsletter you subscribed to.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the site.

We share only what these providers need to do their job, and never for marketing purposes.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of the information you share with us. At any time you can:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of every email, your address is removed from the active list immediately.
  • Ask us to delete a recipe submission or any message you have sent us.
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.

Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@fujipic.com.

How long we keep data

We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Recipe submissions are kept for as long as the recipe remains published on the site. Contact messages are kept for up to two years so we can follow up if needed. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short rolling window.

Security

Traffic to Fuji Pic is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to the systems that store your data is restricted to the people who maintain the site. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit how much of it we hold in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your information, we will update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify newsletter subscribers by email. Continuing to use Fuji Pic after a change means you accept the updated policy.
